Diablo III - brief review by a non-hardcore gamer.

User Rating: 9 | Diablo III PS3

I didn't play Diablo I nor Diablo II due to no time for video games in my life but I when Diablo III was coming out I did have time for it. I heard all about it and got into this mood where you set-up your whole room with decorations, candles, etc and wait for it for weeks like a child at xmass. That was me at 34 waiting for Diablo III and had the intention of catching up with Diablo. I got the PC version and as many of us stopped playing after 50-70 hours of game due to some serious frustrations and disagreements with some parts of the game. Specially the feeling of having to go to the AuctionHouse to provide myself with better stuff in order to succeed as my loots where for s**t. That point made me quite with my barbarian at lvl 54.

Then the PS3 version came out. I thought "no way I am giving a dime to blibli and that game is gonna be another **** tool for them to make money on my back!" and I thought it would be like the PC version. But when I saw that we could be several of us playing on the same screen that seduced me and created a doubt. I bought it. Results after 1 month?? I LOVE IT!!!

Diablo III on PS3 has nothing to do with PC. The fact of not have the AH changed the core of the game. You loot good stuff allowing you to succeed in the game. You can loot legendary armor and weapons, which I never looted on the PC version - hope it has nothing to do with the fact that I live in Switzerland. I have a barbarian lvl 60 with lots of legendary and legendary armor set parts and a Deamon Hunter lvl 50 with also legendary parts. The game eventhough repeats itself it's not boring. There is always something exciting happening, a new loot, a new armor or craft to make, etc. I finished it in Armageddon and I am still playing it with pleasure.

The graphics are nice, like in the PC version. The control of the game with the PS3 command is smooth, the attack assignment to the buttons are well done and intuitive, etc.

I feel that this game is way better on PS3 than PC and they should have done it for PS3 since the beginning.

Regarding the multiplayer on the same screen, that is fun!! I played with my wife and brother and we had fun. Yes it can be tricky because you need to stick together but the fact that it is not a splitted screen is good. I enjoyed it.

The Multiplayer online is also very cool. I didn't have any problems at all. The community is cool and has a nice attitude. I enjoyed my many hours online.

Blizzard I was a "Blizzard hater" but this game calmed me down of a lot. Thank you for releasing it and I can only look forward for the next extension.

Get the game you will enjoy it alone, with you family and friends and with the whole world online.

Thanks for reading me!
