The original DMC was my favorite action game of all time. It offered new and immersive gameplay that seemed so simple but was executed in a way unrivled. The game was perfect. I went into DMC 2 thinking it would give me an even better experience than the first. It was horrendous. I lost most of my faith in the DMC series. That was until now DMC3 brings back the things I loved about the first as well as new things that surpass its predecessors. Although I still think the original game surpasses this, this entry brought back my faith in the series and was a truly great experience. GAMEPLAY The gameplay is easily the best you will ever find in an action game. Every move and control is implemented perfectly and will leave you in awe while you gaze in excitement and amazement at the tremendous moves you pulled off. The gameplay is DMCs strong point and it loves to show it off. DMC3 also implemented new Modes such as Gunslinger and Swordmaster. I was iffy about this at first. I wanted to play it my way with all the modes enabled. However, Capcom pulled it off. DMC3s modes add a new demension to the already fantastic gameplay and it is implemented in the game perfectly. You will have to use stradegy with the bosses. Everyone has a weakpoint. It is fantastic. GRAPHICS The graphcs are DMC3s weak point. Not that that even matters. The graphics do look good but there are a lot of jaggies and the lightning and shadows are not in real time which can make it look fake and cheesy at times. It also has strong points. The reflections are outstanding and are in real time. I just wish the lightning effects could have been a lot better. Overall the graphics are good but not great. SOUND The sound is another of DMC3s strong points. If you have surround sound speakers you will be amazed. The camera make be iffy at times, but the sound makes up for it andlmost makes the camera angles not noticeable. You could be blind and still know whats going on around you. The sound is wonderful. OVERALL Overall the game is a masterpiece. In my opinion it still does not surpass the first, but that is a hard goal to accomplish. The story and gameplay will blow you away as will the rest of the game. If you love action games you better run out and get this game. DMC3 is incredible.
