Deus Ex is great on either platformer.

User Rating: 9 | Deus Ex: The Conspiracy PS2

Never has there been a game that has been so relevant to humanity today than Deus Ex. Deus Ex is one of the greatest games of all time and you'll see why.

STORY

You are JC Denton. A member of a secret special operations known as Unatco who must hunt down the Ambrosia vaccine that cures the Grey death. He goes on a mission but twist and turns are about and now JC must go undercover to stop the government from hoarding the Vaccine and taking over the world.

Good thing JC has many choices in life and getting these endings are hard as all hell.

The game of Deus Ex is set in several locations. New York City, Hong Kong,Nevada, Paris and more.

You will meet many characters along the way.

Much like today, we have giant monopoly's of corporations and the fact we have the corona virus. Sadly we have no JC Denton.

GAMEPLAY

The gameplay in Deus Ex is very good! It's a Role playing game and a stealth game. Deus Ex also counts as a tactical shooter. But Deus Ex deemphasizes combat beyond boss fights.

You can hack security systems even!

The gameplay is that of Theif, Bioshock and/or System shock so if you are familiar with all those you will enjoy Deus Ex.

Explore dark atmospheric worlds powered by the Unreal engine with people sprawling about having their own motivations for most of each of them.

Level your character's abilities with points you get from the organizations you work for. Don't do swimming. It's fairly useless.

You can talk to people! Get in engaging conversations with them with conversation trees.

There will be some platforming.

There are many side missions in Deus Ex to take.

Playing this on PS2 is quite a chore but you'll get used to it.

Either way don't get into a fire fight without any augs.

The loading screens are just terrible. They are literally everywhere.

GRAPHICS

The Graphics in Deus Ex the conspiracy have highs and lows compared to the original. The highs which are limited are larger polygon counts thanks to the PS2's improved capabilities. Some detailed water effects.

The extreme lows are the texture quality. So many locations are just blurry. This is sad do to the fact that the original had some nice textures thanks to the unreal engine.

I also can't help but realize the frame rates are so low at times it's unplayable.

And the resolution can't be good here either.

Overall, Deus Ex looks and feels the same. You will have the same atmosphere and open locations.

SOUND

The sound is memorable!

The voices and sound effects maybe cheesy but the OST is fire! And the atmosphere is

OVERALL

Deus Ex is great game on PS2 and PC. But get the PC version.
