A great tribute to B-movies.

A game based on aliens....gee, I never seen anything like this before. You know, sometimes it gets pretty tiring seeing the same alien-based video games over and over again. However, "Destroy All Humans" here is a bit different. This is really the kind of game that doesn't take itself seriously like most other games about aliens. To me this is more like a satire of a bad sci-fi movie, and that's what I really enjoy about this game.

In the game you play as a short tempered alien named Crypto Sporidium 137 (or Crypto for short), who is sent on a mission to locate his brother, Crypto 136, who has crash landed on the planet Earth. In the process you'll be going out there to kill a whole bunch of humans to collect human brains because of their DNA. Crypto gladly takes the mission so he can bring those "monkeys" down.

While not only being a fun game, it manages to capture that classic 1950's B-movie experience and it's worth getting the game as a rental and seeing what it's like to destroy your own kind for once.

PROS:
-It's a pretty good looking game for the most part and it certainly captures the look and feel of a bad sci-fi movie, and that's the game's charm
-A really wacky and terrific soundtrack that sounds like an old 1950's sci-fi film
-Story is simple, but it sticks
-Controls well
-Decent level design
-Wacky weapons and powers
-Solid voice acting that is really funny
-Alot of fun causing destruction and mayhem on the human race
-Nice unlockable extras

CONS:
-Most story missions and bonus missions are repetitive
-Enemies are pretty easy
-Some pop-up
-Short game

While I really don't recommend you buy a game like this, it is certainly a pretty enjoyable rental and the game's overall charm and appeal is what would really draw people into this. It's really nice to see a change in style and attitude in this over-grown game market of space operas
