It's probably just me. I'm an average gamer. I guess it's called "casual", but I spend most of my time playing video games. I don't GET Destiny 2. What does the player do? Where does the player start? How does the player understand and operate the leveling and modding system? What's going on here? The game never tells me or introduces me to, um, anything.
Destiny 2 is an exercise in confusion and ignorance, and I'm not having fun when I play. For such a huge game, an in-game, live map, not just a static general location map is needed. I want to be shown where to go to begin my goal. I want to play a game, not live my life trying to figure out how and where and why.
The gameplay mechanics are solid. I had more fun writing this review than playing Destiny 2. I was TAUGHT HOW to write.
