the quirky humor you expect from Ron

Greetings wench heybenstance!

yes, Deathspank finally hit the shelves, or the digital marketplaces that is.
that means a review is in order.
i'm going to start out with the negatives, as there are only a few of those;
deathspank will at times not hit the enemies he has highlighte, this happened a total of two times through the game, it can be a nuiscance, but will most likely not irritate you.
the co-op: wow.. i mean it's a fine idea, but seems really tacked on, Sparkles the wizard (the player 2 controlled character) is very underpowered, and only has four powers to use. (the one you will probably use most is "attack" yeah i know, exciting!)
also, the game is quite short. storywise.

on to the lighter side of things.
this is a universe filled to the brim with intelligent humor, and the dialogue sequences in the game are bound to make you scroll through the choices, to see what you can dig out of a conversation, in form of humouristic tidbits.
the Loot! an rpg is only as good as it's loot, and the loot in deathspank is as filled with humor as the rest of the game is, this also goes for enemies and friendly NPC's.

with that said, your gear is likely to be switched out alot, as you often find some just that little bit better, and the "always equip best armor" option is a really nice little mechanic, which will save you alot of time.
the art of this game is unique, and it's mixture of 2d/3d/hand drawn elemtnts compliment eachother beautifully.

The summer of arcade is just around the corner, and i'd be damned if i understand the decision not to make this the top game for summer of arcade!

in the words of Deathspank, hero of the downtrodden! vanquisher of evil! and dispenser of justice!
If you buy only one game this summer! you're not buying enough games.

TL:DR: get this gem, if you like hack´n´slash Rpg´s specked with glorious humor. :)
