when HITMAN meets COMMANDOS..
i bought DEATH TO SPIES Moment Of Truth (and planning to buy the first one too), approached the game with hesitation but turned out to be an incredibly good (and frustrating) game.
1) Graphics - very stylish and pretty high quality with only a couple of odd animations and physics but otherwise it looks great and it's very atmospheric, you will get into the game just by graphics alone.
2) Sound - on a proper 5.1 speakerset or higher, the game supports Dolby and positional which is almost critical for a game like this, HEADPHONES works even better especially if you own an X-FI card because you will pinpoint the sounds, footsteps etc
the music is interesting and doesn't get in the way unlike other games.
3) Gameplay - think HITMAN, cool eh? .....now think COMMANDOS Behind Enemy Lines difficulty......now mix both........AMAZING.
pretty much HITMAN is child play while Death To Spies is the opposite, you will spend so much time planning and "retrying" everything because you will die too much.
Frustration is unavoidable but that's where the game shines, you can approach the mission in many ways so boredom won't set in, infact this kind of frustration is so rewarding when you finally pull it off making each mission a challenge AND an exciting experience, patience is the word, if you want something easier (and you're a cheap guy with no patience) buy HITMAN, if you're a real gamer with real patience, DEATH TO SPIES is what you need, it's superb.
Conclusion - i'd be a liar if i told you that this game will be your cup of tea, depending on your own personality you'll either love it to bits or hate it completely, there's no middle choice here.
last time i checked the time it was 4:00 am and i was still awake with only 3 hours left to go to work, DEATH TO SPIES kept me awake, a testament to the brilliance of this game.
