Pros:
- Graphics
- Character Models
- Hairworks
- Terrain
- Water
- Battlefields
- Mechanics
- Unique and weird (in a good way)
- Traversal Equipment (ropes, ladders, pcc)
- Building routes
- Previously are painted on terrain
- Highways
- Challenging but rewarding
- Stuff stays where you leave it
- Voice acting
- Battlefields
- Attention to detail
- Massive
Cons:
- Save system (Can’t save while using a vehicle, or in enemy territory. Just seems like pointless restrictions)
- Classic Kojima overwriting
- The narrative is great, but there were a ton of moments where I’d zone out because someone was droning on
- Too many info-dumps and word-salads
- Don’t need to know every little detail about every character’s back story
- Story takes a while to get going (at least if you spend dozens of hours getting 5 stars at every location)
- Codec messages pause the game, and sometimes they are really lengthy (these could easily just be audio as you go about your business)
- Jesus, those credits. (not to mention it rolls the credits twice. Before and after the epilogue. Both are unskippable)
- The ending really drags on
Nitpickey:
- Dumb names (Deadman, Die-hardman, Mama)
- I stand by this, but to be fair, everyone is given their name for a reason
- The mail messages are seriously overkilled
- Items get unequipped from tool rack in a frustrating way
- (Whatever item you use replaces whatever you had on the tool rack. Just messes with my OCD when my gun is auto removed and stacked ridiculously on my back)
