dead to rights reckoning just doesnt have enough substance...

User Rating: 6 | Dead to Rights: Reckoning PSP
GOOD: cool shooting gameplay- good graphics

BAD: worst story ever- extremely easy- really short- theres barely any substance in the game- poorly though out boss fights

Dead to Rights: Reckoning is just a plain shooting game.
It's painstakingly short but what there is, is quite fun. The story is as thin as floss. Jack Slate receives a note saying a girl will die unless he turns up at some god forsaken place in the middle of the night. He knows its a trap but he goes anyway and the game is basically about him killing everyone and everything to rescue this girl which he kills in the end anyway.
The graphics are really not that bad I thought so theres really nothing wrong with them.
I can't say much about the voicing because, well there is none. It might have been a glitch I don't know but I thought it was really weird.
the gameplay works pretty much like your normal dead to rights game. the diving through the air doesnt look as cool as it previously did. its a minor complaint but it takes away some of the awesome feel.
reckoning is a really repetitive game. each level is essentially the same and nothing ever changes. its just kill a bunch of dudes, so if youre expecting depth then avoid.
The boss fights are boring. You hurt him, he runs away, other people come out, kill them, guy comes back, hurt him and the process repeats.
I still had a bit of fun with it because I'm a big fan of those types of games.
I finished it on normal in a couple of hours and then I unlocked a new difficulty, "super cop." This is still really easy and I finished it in the same amount of time.
This game is a bit weird and a bit of a muck up but if you like Dead to Rights or the genre of game, check it out.
in the end, the best thing about this game is that when youre bored, its easy to just pick it up and have a quick shoot. thats mainly what i used it for once it was finished and in this, i think reckoning did quite well.
