A game with promise that is too short and underwhelming as a whole.

User Rating: 5 | Dead to Rights: Reckoning PSP
Dead to Rights has a good concept. Run around with a dog and kill the bad guys and save the girl. Unfortunately this PSP version fell short. Speaking of short this game's campaign lasts for maybe an hour. The gameplay itself isn't too bad. The player locks onto enemies and fires them with a variety of weapons. There are plenty of weapons and each feels different. The levels aren't too long and usually end in a boss fight. Using Shadow, the dog, is an instant kill for the bad guys. By pressing a button shadow attacks and instantly kills a bad guy. You can only use him a couple of times per level.

The presentation of the game is very dissapointing. I know this was an early PSP game but there is no voice over's during the cut scene, just text in between the levels explaining the "story". The PSP is powerful enough to have some cut scenes with actual sound. Speaking of the story it is non-existant. Theres mention of saving a girl at the beginning of the game but then Jack, the main character, just goes to different places killing people for apparently no reason.

Overall the game is ok for an hour. It's not a must play game and it has its flaws but if you like shooting people and you happen to find the game for a cheap price than give it a try but don't expect too much.
