Feels like Dead Space, but with too much action. Longer than previous games.

Here is the last Dead Space game, the one where we are supposed to put an end to the markers and all its necromorphs. We saw how the great survival horror game DS1 got a little more action on DS2. Did DS3 take it too far?

You play as Issac (again). Ellie (the chick who escaped with you in DS2) is trying to find a way to stop the markers, while the crazy unitologist people are taking out everyone at EarthGov and turning the markers on. The last remaining EarthGov guys come get you, they need Issac to help them find Ellie and her team. You go with them and meet up with Ellie near some strange planet... well no more spoilers :). The story follows previous games i guess good enough, but during the game they focus too much on Ellie instead of the markers. Sometimes i felt the game was all about Ellie and not the necromorphs killing everyone!

When i started this game i was shocked.. i was shooting at people, and they were shooting at me. I was like ok.. well this doesn't feel like DS, but i guess humans can shoot at Issac too. Just too bad shooting at humans in this game feels lame, they don't react to the hits. At least the necromorphs react to getting hit. Later on the game gets a bit more horror, then more action, and yes more human killing. They took it too far with this game, this is now more action than horror.

Gameplay is the same i guess... well maybe worse. It feels the same as the last game, but the new roll jumping ability is lame. Just shows us how they trying to make it more of an action game. I hardly ever used the roll... don't even know how Issac can roll with that heavy suit on xD. They also removed ammo for each weapon, all ammo now is the same. This is just pathetic. I read they did it for the microtransactions? Pathetic EA.

When DS1 came out it was a horror game where you (an engineer) were supposed to kill the necromorphs more effectively with mining weapons because they are good at cutting limbs! Cutting limbs is still in DS3, but we are full of military weapons that do an even better job. Just go build the Intimid8r and enjoy Action Space. Building weapons looks confusing at first, but its not that bad, though i prefer the weapon upgrading of previous games. The big problem is... whats with at the rifles? I feel like a soldier shooting humans... oh wait this game has that too. DS has seriously lost it.

Graphics are not better. I guess about the same as DS2. Good looking game, but not up there with the best.

Co op. What the hell? I rather take the retarded but funny online of DS2 over this useless co op. Why would i want to play a game like DS3 with someone? Why no online mode? Human vs human could be cool. So much for this game coming with an online pass lol.

The saving system is also terrible. You can no longer save at save points. Its all auto saving. Enemies that you killed respawn again if you reload. Lame. More lame is how you need a new save file for every single different game mode you play.

A lot of negative stuff in my review. DS3 is not a bad game though. Its longer than the past games, but lost what made DS1 so good... survival horror. Co op, action, shooting at humans, military weapons... this is not DS. I enjoyed it, but i gotta say... i'm glad this series is over. Good, but worst in the series.
