Dead Space has been one of my favorite newer franchises. The story line is as simple as it can get. But they manage to create this simply haunting environment that continuously keeps you on the edge of your seat. The new weapon mod system doesn't really add anything to the game and even takes away from the games creativity. Even the item and armor system have taken a turn for the worse. In this latest game, they have begun to go down the road of linear game play. One of the fatal flaws that has brought the once great Final Fantasy series down to the level of mediocre. Stop fixing things that are not broken. Don't get me wrong the game is not all bad but its beginning to feel dumbed down and generic. Like short cuts were taken.
Oh Yeah, one more thing. Having multiplayer is fine, but the campaign is where the greatest attention needs to be given. This is not Call of Duty. Stop trying to be. What you had was unique and great. It made your game the blockbuster it WAS!!! Did you notice that I emphasized WAS.
