Dead Rising 2 is the second game in the series and the best yet.

Story
A few years has past since the first game. Zombies have since spread to a few cities and now Fortune City. The main chaacter is Chuck Greene, a motorcyclist champ with his daughter, Katey, who was infected by a zombie. Katey needs an injection of Zombrex every 24 hours to keep her from turning. To buy zombrex, Chuck enters a TV show called Terror is Reality where contestants kill zombies for money. After winning, Chuck is framed on TV for releasing a zombie outbreak in Fortune City. Now the military will arrive in three days and Chuck will have to clear his name, find survivors, find those responsible, and kills as many zombies as possible until then. The story is broken into cases with deadlines and leaves you with lots of free time.

Graphics
The graphics may be good in cutscenes but are very impressive during gameplay. There isn't any taking, just subtitles in gameplay. However, this is all overshadowed by the gameplay.

Gameplay
The game is very immersive. There are many surivors, psychopaths, and thousands of zombies to kill in Fortune City. Chuck will use anything and everything he can to kill zombies. A new feature is combo weapons, combing two weapons to form a deadlier one. However, all weapons eventually wear out. Survivors are meant to spawn at a certain place at a certain time and you need to save them. They will join your party but sometimes need something in order for them to join. Psychopaths are bosses, people who have gone insane due to the zombies. Chuck can level up and gain new skills and stats, through Prestige Points, which is basically experience gained when saving surviors, killing bosses, zombies, and using combo weapons. There are lots to due in your free time and this game was made for multiple playthrough. The gol of the game is to complete the cases and keep finding zombrex for Katey. Depending on what you do, you will get one of 9 endings.

Length
Since this game was made for many playthroughs, there is a lot of replay value. 5 minutes in real life = 1 in game hours. That gives you about 8 hours in a standard playthrough.
