Great DLC anyone who has played Deadrising should get this, and anyone who is curious anout the Dead Rising 2.
Story 8.3:The plot is excellent but the story is a little strange compared to Deadrising, in this DLC you play as Chuck Greene before he goes to Las Vegas in the actual game.He's on the road in his truck with his daughter, he makes a quick stop for some gas and his car gets stolen.The bad news is that his daughter is infected and needs zombrex every 12 houres which fightes off the infection, this all happens in the beginning of the outbreak and a little while after Deadrising.So you must build a bike from scattered pieces around Still Creek and get the Zombrex to Katey between 7 and 8pm, and get the $%&@ out of Still Creek.Im not going to give any spoilers but their is Phycho at the end and he is pretty challenging.Like in Deadrising their are survivors available for rescue at a specific time in your progress you can save them all in the amount of time that you have.
Gameplay 9.0:Their is extreme improvement to the gameplay, its still the good old Deadrising gameplay but chuck is alot more fluid when hacking zombies too pieces.Their are alot more special moves specific for each weapon also.The DLC's level cap is 5 but gets you a good fair share of abilities and enhancements with the same pp system.The saving system hasn't changed much when you die and get Gameover you will have the option to save status and retry the story all over or load a load point, the improvement is that their are save slots to wheir you can put each save in, to save time and do things a better way.If you have watched the reveiw their are combo weapons where you combine specific weapons to get a super weapon basically, they are really cool and alot of fun, i beleive their is a totall of 9.Their are so many more weapons in this DLC compaired to Deadrising too were i cant imagine how much are in Deadrising 2.Their is a little platformming and the thrill of playing this DLC is the same thrill I get when I play Deadrising.
Graphics 8.8:Their are great graphics in this game and some good gore, the framerate keeps up nicely, even when their are around 300 zombies on screen.The only time i had a small framerate issue was when i used a queen on a huge group of zombies.Their are alot of zombies in this DLC some are still look alikes but their are so many on screen you hardly notice.The faces on the zombies look a little different than in Deadrising but I thought they looked alot more dead and brutal.
Glitches 10: so far i havent found or herd of any glitches or problems accept for in one cutscene when chuck's jacket glitched a little but they did a great job on fine tuning the hole DLC.
Conclusion:If you want that same Chill and Thrill you got from deadrising or are just curious on how the upcoming game will be, you have to get this or if you just want to kill a few zombies and are new to the series.For 400 microsoft points, 4.99 you get alot of content and can get hooked on the replayability of this game after all Deadrising is the king of replayability.
