Dead Right!

Dead Block is a sweet little arcade game. However, I must say this: I only find pure enjoyment in it when I play with a friend for one fact: you can't choose your character! In every level, you start as one of the three characters (usually Mike Bacon or the Construction dude), and you have to go find the others. Yet, the black chick, Foxy Jones, doesn't appear in every level! Lame!

But, on the whole, I think it is a pretty fun little arcade game in the sense that I have ALWAYS wanted to be able to fortify an area in a zombie game (haven't seen that mechanic since Re Outbreak). I will agree with Gamespot, it is kinda sh**ty that the animation when bashing stuff is scaled back, and when you fight zombies, it's best to run in for a few hits and run out, then run in for more hits than run out. But, if you have a friend, and you play through the whole game, it's pretty fun.

O recently purchased the DLC for it. It wasn't too bad. I see the foundation has been laid down for this game, I hope they work on a Dead Block 2 and just learn from their mistakes, but keep their core gameplay in tact.

It's nice that you can build various traps, uncover upgrades, and have the whole mission turn afowl by not paying attention to your surroundings. I would recommend this game to a zombie buff, or just anyone that likes a little light gameplay with some friends.
