Very different from the first game, but still very enjoyable. Worth a try if you even remotely liked DF: TJ.

User Rating: 8 | Dark Fall: Lights Out PC
Lights Out has almost the exact same interface as The Journal, but that is not a bad thing. It's not semi-3D like Lost Souls but I like it still as it makes the game run smoother and makes it feel a little creepier, for some reason.

The story is pretty good and spooks you a bit reading through some of the texts. You have to take notes but its pretty cool to have to do something besides click a mouse; taking notes makes you think about what's important.

Going through time is not trivial. Once or twice I had to look at walkthroughs to get me out of ruts, but otherwise the game is not too hard. The focus on creepiness of the environment and not just cheap "screamer"-type horror is very refreshing.

The ending is a little underwhelming but I would highly recommend you play this game if you liked the first or if not, try the first then play this!
