A solid DDR with lots of songs.

The Good: Lots of songs. Most songs are great. Lots of trancy techno pop songs.

The Bad: Nothing revolutionary or new here.

Review: Well, there is nothing new for me here since I started out playing a later version of DDR, and then went back to this one. Basically, this is a great DDR game because it has alot of songs and content. The main game modes for me are the Free Play Mode and Mission Mode. In mission mode, it gives you specific targets to beat during a song, such as a specified combo number or percentage on your health bar. Same thing as all the newer DDR games. I believe this was the first DDR game to bring you the Edit Mode, where you can create your own dance steps if you wish, as well as practice specific songs. I'm not really into that though. Anyway, it's good to know the dance steps are on beat, as I'm sure mostly all the DDR games are, except for the Disney Channel Edition, which is why I brought that one back to the store, lol. The only other DDR I've played is SuperNova 2, and in comparison to that game, this game has better trance techno upbeat type songs. SN2 has better hiphop and funk songs though. The graphics on this game are an upgrade from the Max series, but obviously, not up to par with the new DDR games. I got this game primarily for it's price, at 20 dollars new because it's a greatest hits title. Anything newer than this is gonna cost you at least 35 bucks used. Oh, and although the graphics on the character models aren't on par with today's DDR, the backgrounds certainly are. The backgrounds were great in this game. That's about all, peace!
