A grand project of a game that without question sets a new bench mark for future games of this type.

Crysis is awesome to play, but not perfect.
I'm not going to talk about the graphics except to say there the best i've ever seen in a game. But is it all eye candy and no substance? well no it isn't.
When I first played this game I was trying to be as stealthy as possible using the cloaking on the characters suit. This is great it really makes you feel like the predator. (there's something out there waiting for us... and it ain't no man)
It was annoying me for a while because going undetected in parts of the game just isn't possible, you can't silent kill a whole squadron of enemies and this is what I was trying to do in the game.
And then something clicked and I was like this game is about gorilla warfare tactics.
When I started to play this game in such a way that I was ambushing squadrons of guards in the jungle(getting the drop on them) wow it really came alive.
Stealth suit - smoke grenade from behind tree - Stealth suit - pull back - zoom in with sight scope - wait for enemy to emerge coughing up smoke gas - aim for heads - 6 kills.
The best thing about this game is the freedom to take out the enemy as you so choose.
The story line is really interesting, and the AI is actually pretty good, although not great, many of the guards tend to sit and do nothing in certain places, and if you don't attack them they will not move.
People have comment that you don't have to be a good player to get through this game, well that depends on how you play it. Crysis has a lot of room within the game for veteran pc gamers to play the game with style, despatching the enemy in the most effective gorilla tactical manner.

Overall a great game - that shines in the combat tactics not just the graphics.
An important game in that it will pave the way for many other great FPS shooter titles - 9/10

Half life is still king of the fps.
