ahead of its times, old ideas, eye candy graphics makes this an instant classic

instead of shooting stuff i found myself glued to the screen trying to figure out how the hell this game was made in 2007. the engine is well good, though buggy at times (as all games are). completed the game in one sitting, 12 hours, which is a shame, since i would love to continue shooting stuff with all those pretty colours.

cave level especially - just made my jaw drop. i am glad i waited 4 years to play this game, since even now 8gb ram, 1gig radeon 6870 and 6 cores of 2.8ghz can't handle the full throttle. way way way ahead of its times, but smooth running on high details makes it a worthy wait even for oldskool gamers. who said they don't make them the way they used to?

play this. it's tasty.

hats off to crytek - giving half life, diablo and fallout series a run for their money.
