Strong game overall. Singleplayer is lacking a bit in the later part, but still a lot of tactical battles to be fought!

User Rating: 8.5 | Crysis PC
Overall: 8.5/10.
An amazing game with strong graphics and astonishing controls and possibilities. To bad that the story makes the tactical gameplay lacking in the later half of the game, would be better with some smaller fights between the big ones.

Graphics: 9.5/10.
Definitely the most advanced graphics of any game from 2007. It has a really high standard that still amazes me now four years after it came out. The fireworks and effects are really well done but what catches my eye the most is the detail of the terrain. When playing a game which have a sniper gun you should be able to se from a long distance without zoom to acknowledge movement, this game allows me to do that - finally! But what up with the bad resolution in the loading screens?

Sound: 8.5/10.
The sounds from guns, people, vehicles and such are perfect. You really feel like you are inside the game when wearing headphones due to the surround effects. The music is OK, but not as awesome as say Mass effect.

Gameplay: 8.0/10.
The controls of this game are totally AMAZING! The suit modes are so smartly organized and changed just by moving the mouse a bit to the wanted direction while pressing V. The menus are also really good, if you don't count the multiplayer menus which I didn't get at all (maybe there was some bug while I tried multiplayer). The multiplayer mode seems to be pretty advanced and I'm certain that it's well developed if you just put your mind to it. In the singleplayer game there are a lot of tactical fights in the first half of the game, the later half mostly just have one solution to every encounter. I could have given this game a 10 overall if it would continue to be like the first half with all easy soldiers coming from different directions trying to break the nomad. Hopefully we will be able to use the Crysis suit as much in the sequel.

Idea: 8.5/10.
To make a really heavy game that cannot be played on most current computers are not a popular thing, but then the computer industry is fast in its development and EA seem to have relied on this?! Of course they can! The idea of the suit are worth so much! To turn a military shooter with a special suit into a sci-fi game is also OK, I wish however that the developers would have made a few more multi-enemy-fights in the later half, not just making every fight harder when progressing.

Story 7.0/10.
I totally loved the start of the game. It got mystic ingredient and a lot of action and clear missions. But then later on I felt that the story could be clearer at some points and jet a bit more free at some points. I felt frustrated a few times when I didn't fully understand the current mission and couldn't bring back the briefing again. One or two times I did all that there was to do for a optional mission but didn't get it to count anyway. But the story still feels OK even if I got a bit disappointed of the later half. The story itself doesn't grasp me as much as Mass effect 1 did, but it will still be interesting to continue playing the Crysis games.
