I know I have a good game when I play it for seven hours straight the first day I get it. Just yesterday I looked around in Gamespot and this game caught my eye. It had looked kinda cool, so I picked it up. I was amazed by the wonderful, addicting gameplay it provided. Though in the beginning, I had absolutely no idea what was going on, but that is because you are looking through the eyes of Sho, the main character, and niether did he. Within the first hour, I was glued to my big black box, I couldn't believe when I saw around 600 enemies on screen at once, and with no frame-rate slow down! The story takes place in the distant future when aliens known as Mutons have begun invading a far away solar system. Your character, Sho, and his "sidekick" (more like kid brother) Yanquin, are thrust off into an adventure of good VS evil, with plot twists galore. (though some of the plot could have been left untwisted though) You soon learn that you (Sho) are a Vipa, a unique species "Human, and yet not human" that is able to summon great powers. It is hard to put this game into one category. It seems like an action game, slice and dice sorta stuff, but the whole quest idea makes you think of an adventure game. But to make it even more confusing, It also shows many eliments of RPG, such as custimizable weapons and spells. I thought it was like "Final Fantasy" and "LOTR: The Two Towers" combined. Not to forget a little of "Dynesty Warriors." With a score of wonderful music, (not so wonderful voice acting) hours of addicting gameplay, a decent storyline, wonderful cut scenes, (almost as if you were playing a movie) and not to mention the 600 enemies on screen at once+no frame-rate slow down, this is a wonderful game to pop into the old Xbox, sit down, and grow mold over.
