I am glad to say that i have played this game for over a week now and am glad i bought it. Although the APB game is coming out in march and will more than likely take us all to it. This game is a great change of pace from the other MMO's in the industry at the moment. The shooting system is great. The PVE system is redundant, but it doesnt get boring for me. The PVE is called stockpile and you go through the level and kill enemy AI and pick up boxes as you go along that have items inside. Other characters can join you, but it is actually more annoying since your fighting to get the boxes before them. The enemy AI is stupid. Though they still will kill you if your not smart. So that shows something i guess. They dont really use cover too well and if you start shooting at them sometimes they just keep walking until they die. Easy for you, but not fun for me. There are more than one stockpile levels, but i do play the same one over and over because its still lots of fun for me. Its face paced and full of being shot at and explosions because of the grenade launcher and rocket launcher mobs. PVP is great, but has problems. Its very fun to go against other players in the large amount of different types they have. Capture the flag, robbery, free for all. But players can glitch into containers or walls and kill others without dieing. I have only seen this once and am level 22 already. But it still almost made me want to quit. The crafting system is very simple. Get items and create. You dont have to be at a workbench or anything, but simple is good sometimes. You get to carry 3 weapons at all times. 3 different catagories for the 3 slots you have. First is pistol or SMG second is Assault rifle or shotgun and the third slot you have to specialize into through your skill tree and learn how to use either a rocket launcher, grenade launcher, or LMG. I went into LMG and love it. Though rocket launcher people can rape you easily. I do feel the weapons are balanced though. At least realistic. A rocket launcher owning me seems pretty real to me. A grenade launcher is almost as good at that. The LMG can rape 3 to 4 people up close in a quick time by cutting them down. I havent seen anyone duel wielding pistols or smg's. So i would consider that a downfall. In order to use grenades or mines you have to learn the skill then put it in the skill slot you unlock and earn. you get 3 and have to unlock two of them. You can make any key on your keyboard link up with any of the slots. So you can customize your skills for easy use of grenades and such. Weapons are pretty detailed and you eventually get weapons with 3 or more slots which you can add triggers, and scopes, which increase damage and reduce spread and others. And they actually show up in game. You can really tell someone who has a 5 slot weapon because of how it looks. PVP can suck because you can be level 5 fighting against a level 35 in a match and he will rape everyone since at level 30 weapon and armor change dramatically. There are other points that i could talk about but im going to summarize.
In the end the game is a must play until APB comes out in my opinion. If your a mmo freak like i am and have played them all then you have to give this a try. But you have to like shooters. If you like shooters and like MMOs than this will make you happy until something better comes along. If anything you can have it on the side when your tired of grinding on WOW, or AO, or AION or any other MMO. Great change of pace and very fun IMO.
