Everything's wrong with this

I was waiting eagerly for this game and like all other true cricket fans i was very disappointed by the gameplay. I am surpirsed majority of people here give it a 8/10. What are they rating the game on?
The UI is exceptionally good and that is what strikes a player first. But then when the action transcends to the field it is highly disappointing. Batting is a pain in this game although bowling is still easier.
People talk of putting in enough hours of practise to get to a level where one can bat well, i must tell you i have done that all and there is a slight improvement and that is where this will stay. The variety of shot selection is poor, believe me, one needs to time the ball so well else you just wont connect.
I played this for > 100 hrs and left feeling extremely frustrated. The gameplay in Brian Lara International Cricket 2005 is highly superior. BLC gets a 9/10 in gameply and a 7/10 in UI and EA gets a 9/10 in UI and 4/10 in gameplay.

Definitely not worth buying, but just to see how truthful my review is, rent it for a while and you'l switch to BLC
