oh my god is this game terrible

I bought this game for AU$25 dollars and it isnt worth the money. Sorry to start off a review so negatively but theres no saving grace about this game at all whatsoever. When i bought this i had thoughts back to super international cricket on the super nintendo. that game was timeless and can be brought out nowadays for a hit, this one released 8 years later is simply a mess.

Being a cricket game you have the standard options of world tour, world series vs mode and tournament, however everything is all wrong. The only thing right (even if its something so trivial) is the Team sheets which were up to date but the batting and bowling averages and sliders really dont do anything and dont mean much when they should.

first with the graphics clipping, textures, pop-in load times all completely bad, hitting a 4 shows the card boards cut out spectators with 2 frames each. The same animations as well and aren't even smooth and take 1.4 seconds to kick in. A rush job if there ever was one, six extra months of development time would of really polished this game up presentation wise but alas it isnt to be.

sound is poor with the same sounds played over and the commentary repetitive and boring. The same phrases used by the commentary over and over, with a few changes mainly depending on how many runs were made the quote "The runs are flowing at a fairly acurate 1 an over" which changes to "2" or "3" pr whatever, see barely any change except for the number.

the gameplay is where this gets completely out of hand. The bowling aspect is actually pretty ok however there is no technique or anyting related needed to play, even if you try to apply something the game is so broken it's useless. You will watch as your opponants hit you for four almost every time you bowl on stumps and taking a wicket is a matter of luck rather then skill,
Batting is worse no matter what you do you will barely make over 10 runs a player, hitting a 6 is impossible and you will be caught out at every oppurtinuty. running between wickets is suicide, even a ball 50 metres away from any player will still manage to run you out before you make 1 run.

1 redeeming feature is the games graphs and stats that look exactly like thier real life counterpart, thats it. The music is barely noticeable and pretty forgetful.

Oh and the game is broken, freezes sometimes and you can be caught out even after it has bounced, yep you heard right. I hate to have a completely negative review but the game really is this bad, when the gameplay isnt fun, isnt pretty to look at, and has no reedeming features except something as obligatory and simply as stats then there not much i can say in defence of the shambles in front of me

Save your money and buy something else!! Hopefully next years update will change the game rapidly ...hopefully
