Fun sandbox, but instead of moving forward they actually take a step backwards, this is not as good as the first one.

I really liked the first Crackdown which was my first 360 game, and it was a lot of fun, whether you were just messing around or trying to take down the kingpins which served as boss fights. This game only gets the "messing around" part right, the objectives this time around are dull as hell and get very repetitive. The first one had you travelling all over the city, venturing into massive buildings for variety and some of the bosses were a bit tricky. There are no bosses here, not that I know of, the streets are overrun with enemies, and I mean overrun, in certain areas you can't even go into without getting killed in seconds, hundreds of enemies with expert aim. I think this is the same city as the previous one, or at least it has many of the same buildings and locations, only the city is less interesting as it's more damaged and stuff. There's not much story here, just turn on a coupl of beacons and return power to the HQ towers, that's it, then you get the laughably bad ending, which I didn't get at all, because I must've skipped some intro cutscene or something. I hope, I really hope, and ther must be a different ending available if you clear every one of the side missions 100% I won't bother, in the previous game I upgraded the character to his fullest potential, collecting all the orbs I could see, here, I kind of bothered to get a fair amount of the agility orbs, but the game is not that good that I felt I had to get all stats upgraded to the max. But it is as always a lot of fun to go rogue and blast stuff and just destroy everything in sight, 3 friends can join you in the rampage which is very cool and I really wish I could try it, but just causing stuff to explode all by yourself is enertaining as well. I didn't really want to play Crackdown 2 after reading the reviews, but I got it dirt cheap and it's a fair way to spend 7-8 hours.
