As a fan of Chris Roberts' computer games, I completely missed that this was one when it came out. I waited two months after it came out before I realized who was behind it. You can tell right away from the opening movie that this is a game following Mr. Roberts flair for Hollywood production. But it is not a bad sign; in fact, this game leads you on a great tale of space exploration while bringing a great real time strategy game to the table. Keeping with the genre it kept aliens, mining, building, defense, offense, and tech trees that are all familiar components of the RTS genre of the period.
