A brilliant single player campaign.

Company of heroes is quite possibly the best WW2 RTS ever. Even 3 years after its release, it retains stunning visuals and great gameplay. Even better, the entire anthology can now be had for less than £20.
The campaign is quite accurate historically (if that matters to you), and it is a joy to play. Mostly, you start a mission with a handfull of units and an objective. As the missions progresses, reinforcements may arrive and you might build a barracks to churn out some extra units. Then most missions will have a grand final objective, like breaking through heavily guarded lines with a large army.
The mission objectives are varied, which is good, because essentially you use the same 'attack, build, defend, counterattack' strategy for each mission. Some missions require you to infiltrate a base, then fall back and defend, some may require you to hold back a huge German army with only a few well placed snipers and AT guns.
Visually- stunning. No more can be said.
The issues with this game are few and far between, but there are some- pathfinding for tanks is quite poor, no German campaign and the germans are quite alot more powerfull than the allies- at least in Skirmish mode.
But hey, overlook those problems and it is a great game.
