This game is much improved over the original combat mission series. The game play is a little better, but the graphics are improved immensely making the game more immersing. I would highly recommend this game to any combat mission fan and anyone who appreciates a very realistic war-game. The level of detail right down to the uniforms, order of battle, the weapons and ballistics are covered to the T. Even the armored vehicles are modeled very realistically. So you better make sure your tank always has its thickest frontal armor facing the enemy or you will be destroyed in a flash. The new terrain is a little better than the older one. The infantry models are leap years improved over the old 1.0 engine. And every man is represented in the game. In the older games 3 men would represent a full 12 men squad. This and the ugly faces of the older game makes this one more enjoyable to me. All the new models from the men to the trucks and tanks are simply beautiful. It adds so much to the realistic aspect of the game. A.D.D . fps kids with a low attention span need not apply!
