CM:BN is a great, modern follow-up to the classic CMx1 series of games.

Don't have time to write too much but don't listen to people who bash this game, every hardcore war gamer/grog I know has loved this game since its initial release. The game is not for those who seek ADHD RTS action in games. It's for those who love the historical accuracy, WW2, tactical planning and those who have patience and can tolerate the consequences of bad tactical decisions in game.

It's a great follow up to the original series of combat mission games and is actually less gamey than the original CMx1 games due to its true 1x1 representation of the world. The 3D models and art are great for an indie game and the scenario editor gives you endless possibilities for creating imaginative scenarios to your liking. The unit roster has a great historically accurate inventory of units for gameplay and it will only grow in future versions of the game.

The only reason I rate this game a 8.5 and not a 9.0 are the few small bugs and quirky behaviors in the initial release version. Since the developer Battlefront has a small staff and is on an independent developer budget, I cut them a bunch of slack compared to the big wigs like EA. I trust that Battlefront will fix these bugs soon though like they always have in previous games.
