You can choose from different chess boards, and play against computer skill levels from beginner to big-name masters. You can also look up tales of the great chess battles, to learn how the legends etched their names in history. The graphics look good, and piece movement is easy to execute.
I miss Battlechess, where you could blow your opponent clear off the board with lasers, but this is almost as much fun.
Chessmaster offers something for every ability, from novices like myself to more experienced craftsmen. Good luck--you'll need it.
