"Still awesome after 20 years"

User Rating: 10 | Classic NES Series: Castlevania GBA
Castlevania, the game that started it all for the legendary series back on the NES back in May of 1987, and it's been re-released on the Game Boy Advance, with revamped sound, and gameplay!! The first thing that you notice right from the get go, is that it seems like nothing about this game has actually changed, except for the fact that it now has a save feature for you to save you're progress, just in case you're running low on battery power, and need to recharge!!

The story is still the same as it was in the original NES version, Count Dracula rises once again after 100 years of rest, after his last defeat at the hands of Christopher Belmont in the year 1592, the timeline for Castlevania 2: Belmont's Revenge for the Game Boy platforms, and he's terrorizing the villagers of Transylvania once again, so they call upon Simon Belmont, member of the legendary Belmont Clan of Vampire Hunters to go to Castlevania, and once again put a stop to his evil reign of terror for another 100 years, or at least until the events of Castlevania II: Simon's Quest for NES.

Gameplay is pretty much the same also as well, A button to jump, B button to use the legendary Vampire whip, in which the origins were explained in Castlevania: Lament of Innocence for Playstation 2, and everyone knows how to use the directional pad, and pressing start pauses the game, and there's a new feature that lets you access a hidden menu by pressing the left and right shoulder buttons, that lets you save easily when you're low on batteries!! And 12 levels of absolutely very challenging, frusturating, agonizing, skill, patience, (Which is going to be one of the things you're going to be having less of, thanks to those annoying Medusa Heads) epic timing, and quick reflexes, as well as some very awesome strategies in order to get through this NES classic re-released as part of the 'Classic NES Series' of games for the Game Boy Advance!!
