“CASTLEVANIA DID IT AGAIN...” One of the lastest release on the Castlevania series is Castlevania: Curse
One of the lastest release on the Castlevania series is Castlevania: Curse of darkness (C:COD). 3 years ago Trevor Belmont (yep, a member of the so famous Belmont vampire killer clan) defeated Dracula (like in the classic Castlevania games) after a hard battle, but before Dracula dies he cast a curse upon the land of England which lead it to a horrible situation. After defeating Dracula, Trevor dissapeared leaving the land on it´s own and to it´s luck. One of Dracula´s minions, Isacc the Devil Forgemaster, want his friend Hector to join him again and regain his dark powers of devil forgemaster so they can rule side by side England, but Hector reused his offer and seeks Isacc to destroy him...that´s how the game starts. You take control of Hector: a devil forgemaster (this means he can summon devils from special stone statues) who revealed to Dracula in the battle against Trevor Belmont and sealed his dark powers, but due to Isacc´s menace you regain your powers so you can figth and destroy him.
During the game you will find different enemies, weapons, allies and Inoccent Devils (ID) which will help you restoring your health, figthing, opening paths and other special abilities. This time there are no subweapons BUT there are hearts: they will be the health of your ID and it will be consumed when thery´re hit or when they use an special ability.
The game follows the classic formula of the Castlevania series: earn experience so you level up, gain money on treasure chests or by defeating enemies to buy items and weapons, to complete a “stage” you will need to beat a boss and maybe a sub-boss, the more map completition you have the best, etc.
It´s is a good game with nice graphics and a easy-to-learn gameplay but the best is the music: it´s a mix of techno and goth with a little of rock. If you´re a Castlevania fan or just want a good game to spend some time this is your choice.
