A somewhat pretty rail ride through the world of modern warfare. Nothing more.

From the start, the main thing I noticed about this game is the prettier graphics. On a PC I really enjoyed the breadth of environments and especially the ones earlier in the game in the latter. For the first time in a while with this series I found myself genuinely enjoying my surroundings rather than just rushing from track to track on the COD Rail Shooter of Love.

It is actually impressive just how big the rail is in this game. Seriously, I can't help but feel like I'm at Disney on one of those older rides where they take you through some magical place filled with weird characters and exciting music. Yep, this is pretty much the same thing but instead of getting the whole Disney park for $60 you get to take it at your home while staring at your monitor. Hmmm, not quite worth it.

It was anticipated that this would be the final end of Makarov and who can say anything but fantastic things about how the final "boss" of the trilogy goes down with an extremely below average FTE. Really? That's the best you can do? Yeah guys, you're getting really bad at what you do. One hopes that with any possible new story you take on you might be a bit more creative.

As others have noted, it is an interestingly thing how what used to be such an exciting and over-the-top game feels so much like a simplistic rehash. It is odd that any surprise they throw at us doesn't even make us flinch any longer. GS appropriately noted that this game simply "iterates rather than innovates."

OK, on to other games that are more fun, have AI that doesn't suck, and overall game play that actually draws me in.
