Black Ops' second map pack is yet again an overpriced add-on, which you'll either like or hate, but never love.

User Rating: 7 | Call of Duty: Black Ops - Escalation PS3
So, the price tag hasn't really been reduced by much, so it's still a risky download. If you like Zombies, then "Call of the Dead" could be what you're looking for. If you like Multi-player, then you've got at least 1 or 2 favourites out of the four maps. I'll give you my score, on a scale to 10, for each map Escalation offers.

Zoo: Score - 2/10
Really disapointing map for any CoD player. It may be large, but the layout of the map is horrible and very wide, which can encourage peope to camp in the minimum amount of corners. No special features for this map, just an empty, dull-looking Zoo with little colour.

Convoy: Score - 8/10
Suprisingly small, but there are alot of different angles of battle, and Snipers can thrive at the top viewing points located at each side of the map. Brave players take their fights through the middle, while others take the less riskier places. Campers can be dealt with easily in most of the buildings, but the cantiene can give them the big advantage.

Stockpile: Score - 7/10
Not a bad map, but sometimes in matches, one person can have an ideal view at their enemies. The interactive doors add alot of fun to Stockpile, and can be used to create traps and diversions. At each end of the map, there are little houses, which can be used by Snipers and Campers to give them a good kill/death ratio. Not much colour, but it is a snow map after all!

Hotel: Score - 9/10
The best Multi-player map that Escalation gives you! It has alot of short-medium battle points, but there is a few long range parts of the map, preferably the top windows of the Hotel. The Elevators take interactive features to a new level. They can be used to leave claymore traps, they are quite good for Camping in, or they can can be used if you're just too lazy to climb the stairs! Quite colourful, and has alot of detail inside and outside of the Hotel.

"Call of the Dead": Score - 9.5/10
Zombie fans will be pleased to own this map, as it offers the original Zombie-Slaying fun, and gives that little bit more extra awesomeness! There is a new perk, which can be used to get more points, or to escape a horde of Zombies. 2 new Wonder-Weapons make their first appearance in CotD, but sadly, only one is useful, while the other one is a disappointment. An All-Star horror cast with quirky quotes appear, as well as a new definition of Boss. The man himself... George. A. Romero!

Summary:
A good add-on, greatly criticised by it's price, which adds all-new ways of battle to the current game, and adds a new, highly-anticipated Zombie map to your current collection!
One question now: Will you get this DLC's benefits, or end up moaning about a hole in your pocket?
