Black Ops is Medal of Honor updated to the 60's and 70's.

The game is a bit of a let down. The game play and action is reminiscent of the Medal of Honor series, but instead of endless WW2 situations, it's Cold War situations. While the game tries to break up the action with alternate types of game play like motorcycles and what not, they're shoe horned into the regular game play and don't add much. Same goes for the various weapon types. The weapons just aren't "crisp" like MW2 and the scenery is pretty mundane. Letting another game creator take over Call of Duty was a mistake. Activision pretty much screwed the pooch when they tried to hose Infinity Ward, they scared off the goose that was designing the Golden Egg.

Bottom line, unless you love the Medal of Honor series, nothing to see here. To be fair, I haven't finished but I don't see the game play improving.
