An adrenaline-packed racing masterpiece!
Graphics are stunning to look at whether you're racing at over 200 mph or watching a huge pile up of vehicles crash and burn. The amount of detail that was put into the crashes looks great.
The music might not appeal to all but it certainly matches the energy of the game, and with over 40 tracks you're bound to find something you like.
The gameplay is extremely addictive. There's World Tour, which consists of you racing in various tracks in all different countries and with the ability to ram your opponents into oncoming traffic, into a tree, or soaring through the sky, makes it all that more fun. Then there's Crash Mode, in which you earn big bucks judging by how much damage you cause by crashing your vehicle into any and all traffic.
The only downside to this game is the small selection of cars.
Don't get me wrong, Burnout Revenge and Burnout Paradise are fantastic racers as well, but Takedown is the standout, the one that really launched the series forward. This is one of those games that should be a necessity in all gamer's libraries. Outstanding!
