I am sorry but I need to say this directly. The ending of this game is really dissapointing. I can share it right here, no problem at all cause there is no ending at all.
Let me explain: this FPS grew on me, some levels were pretty challenging: if you did not use your squad members right, which you can give orders which I will talk about later, you simply could not finish the level. You would always get killed over and over again. People that know the game will know what I am talking about. There is one level with a tank and is actually really easy, but because I did not knew that the enemies ahead had rocket launchers or not I did not dare to send the tank in on critical points. I always tried to do it on my own but this never worked, I always got killed, until I decided to give the tank a chance and hoped there would not be any rocketlaunchers. I did a day over taking that decision and all that day long I died and died and died..For me personally this is not a bad thing, this is what I mean with the classification 'grows on you'. I felt like I really was leading my squad into victory, I even thought at times in the game: Damn I would not be a good squad leader, all my people are killed again. All my people. ;)
You really feel like you are controling a squad and when some of the characters get killed you will really feel bad that they got shot. I had those feelings and since this games gets really high score I guess many do.
So when all those feelings come to the point that the game is going to finish you just get dissapointed with the "ending".
Thats a shame, thats why I gave 8.5 instead of 9.5 or even 10.

The controles of your squad are very easy and there are different tasks you can give like: supress, run to, attack, fall in, fall out...
One squad will contain three human soldiers or 1 tank. You can have two different soldier squad, one with weapons to supress and another to attack. Both can do the other thing to but are it's strongst at its own skill.
When you press the "v" button the game pauses and you get an overview of the battle. You can zoom in and out on the enemies, your squad, etc and comes really in handy when you need to take tactical decisions.
Imagine that you are running true a field with your two soldier squads, you run into some Germans.
You move the supress squad to that fallen three that is laying on the ground, they run in cover behind the fallen three and after you selected the enemies they will start supressing them. This will enable you you flank them with your attack squad or even alone and shoot all the Germies to pieces.
This tactical use can be really fun but sometimes I took a long time over taking the risk of damaging my tank or getting my squad killed, which is both bad and good.

I played the game with everything from the option "Graphics" on the highest level and I got to say that the graphics looked more then good for being 2005 game. But then again, I do not have much expierence with Pc gaming. I played ps2-ps3 but since he broke down a week or so ago I do not want to have any consoles anymore. So I started buying older (low priced) games to run smoothly on my laptop. Well, I did not miss my Ps3 graphics at all. I think of staying with pc gaming. No complaints on the graphics what so ever. Offcource there IS a difference between these graphics and Ps3 graphics but it did not bother me at all. Like I said, the graphics are more then good enough for me and I come from Ps3, but it always can be different for you.

The sound is also very good. The voices of the characters are well picked and help them get alive. In the game you will hear bullets flying by you, your team members will shout to eachother and you, in short words, you are in hell. Then after finishing a level you get the loading screen and some nice music.

But now that I start about those loading screens, what the f*ck are up with those! Why do they talk so long..., not that they take really long but everytime you die this screen comes back up and you need to wait again untill the game is loaded. And die you will, even with the game difficulty on easy you will die a lot in some the levels due to the tactical choice option and the "dilemma's" I allready mentioned in this review.
This is really frustrating and it made me quit the game several times earlier then I normally would. But it did not made me quit the game in the way of; not finishing it. I always went back to try it again.

This Brothers in Arms is a very good shooter and it is priced around the 5€ this moment we speak! Get this game if you do not have it, it is cheap and will enjoy the h*ck out of you!

Overall: 8.5/10
