Limited content and long load times are balanced by enjoyable gameplay and a fun game true to the series.

User Rating: 8 | Ricky Ponting 2007 Pressure Play PSP
Pressure Play is, to put it frankly, a watered-down version of what you've come to expect on the consoles. If you are after a full but miniature version of the console games, you might be disappointed. However, the gameplay is the same as that of the consoles, and the game itself is quite fun. Graphics are ordinary and sound is quite dull - no commentary has been included, and at first look, this is quite unappealing. However, it grows on you, as you're not listening to commentators who might repeat the same thing over and over or state the obvious. Instead, it gives the game a feel of almost being at the cricket. A disappointment is the removal of career mode and the test matches. Also irritating is the slowdown of frame rate whilst throwing or catching. And the biggest gripe would be the looong, loooooong loading times. However, complaints aside, the gameplay is solid, if not repetitive. There are many options available and the multiplayer just makes the game more fun. I bought this game because I loved the console versions, and whilst I was disappointed with the lack of options/depth in the game, I still enjoy playing the game (by the way, playing time is low because I just bought it). If you loved the console versions – buy this game, but try it before you do – it might not suit your tastes.
