this is a great rpg for the psp, but it has a slight few problems

User Rating: 8.3 | Breath of Fire III PSP
the game is about a boy (ryu) and he is a dragon.
he is found by some thiefs who accompanay him for a while.
so enough with the story.
i liked this game first because of the rpg nature of it but i did not really get into the storyline very much. its not jaw droppingly great but its worth a play for anyway since there is not many rpg's on the psp as of yet.

so the fights are Final Fantsy style turn based combat with random battles.except for the fact that you fight on the spot you were encountered on, not in a fixed location. this is great seeing as you just want bitesize battles going on. there is a fair amount of spells and skills to learn and they take time to learn.
the dungeons are the most annoying part of the game, the dungeons will make you want to just smash the game up. of course the first few dungeons are easy but during the middle of the game dungeons are long and they will branch out into separate ways and they have extrodinarily annoying puzzles, match all that up with about 100 battles and you have a breath of fire 3 dungeon.
the sound is mediocre. since there is so many battles. the same music is played over and over again with is so off putting. the characters make little twee voices when they attack. this dosen't really effect the game its just a bit funny
lastly the graphics. they are ok not great. though the spells are pretty nifty and the backrounds are nice, BoF3 graphics are just right for the psp
what weird is that there is a fishing mode. you catch fish and get points in a certain location, beat the location score and get art for the gallery. its a nice mode to have but the novelty wears off pretty soon.
if you were a die hard fan of rpg games and had a psp i would recommend this. although the dugeons may put some people off the game. but at least give it a try
