Braid is a clever game with enchanting music and skillfully designed puzzles, but it takes some getting used to.

I guess I'm just used to being able to run and jump and move on, but while Braid offers some incredible atmosphere, a heartwarming story and great gameplay, my one problem with it has to do with the time-reversal component itself. The suspension of disbelief gets ratted for me as I send the little guy back in time to repeat, and repeat, and repeat, and repeat the same task till he gets it right. When it starts to feel like work, I get turned off. I suppose for someone who's a bit jaded when it comes to platform games, this is a fun little respite, as how many times have most of us wanted to go back and pounce a Koopa we missed, instead of having to replay the level from the beginning? That being said, expectations need to be lowered a bit, as Braid is more of a puzzle game that uses platform elements. If you go into it thinking levels should be longer, you will miss the idea. Still it's a lot of fun.
