One of the most Beautiful experiences i have had
Alright , you play as Tim who at the beginning of the game is desperately trying to seek out " the princess " , to do so he must traverse 6 different worlds each with his own unique characteristic , in some world you can manipulate time , while in other you get a shadow of yourself which acts according to time manipulation etc etc
The story of braid is explained through the use of texts which you read on as you continue to progress , progressing further unlocks new texts which provide a deeper insight to the game , its hard for me to discuss the story without giving out any spoilers so I'll leave it at that but I'll say that it is one of the most original and well thought out story i have seen in years
Coming to the gameplay , Braid at its core is a puzzle plat-former a basic one at that , your job is to find these puzzle pieces scattered all over the 6 worlds , yo do so you have to figure out a variety of ingenious puzzles , and believe me they are magnificent and make you think out-of-the-box , some of them might seem impossible at first but careful thinking and some trail and error will always help you succeed and only after completing one of those brain bending puzzles will you come to appreciate its simplicity , the controls are spot on for the most part but i did notice some hindrances while jumping but those were rare . Basically the gameplay will remind you a lot of Mario .
The graphics in the brilliant , they're mostly 2D but the bright , vibrant and vivid use of colors is pleasing to the eye .
The musical score is perhaps braids greatest achievement , the score will bring tears to your eyes , masterpiece is what I'd call it .
All in all Braid is definitely the best arcade game i have ever played , it features a brilliant story , pleasing graphics and an absolutely amazing soundtrack .

- Doesn't always introduce all the game play mechanics at the right time which leads to some frustration
