A medium-quality fighting game that has loads of blood to offer you, nothing more.

User Rating: 7.4 | Bloody Roar 4 PS2
This game is another installment of the Bloody Roar series, and, like the 2nd and 3rd game, is uninteresting and must only be checked out by those hardcore Bloody Roar gamers.

The graphics are amazing, with some fine textures and fabric animations, and lots, loooooooooooooooots of blood for those blood-seeking gamers. The special attacks are quite well done and the water is really cool. But unfortunatelly, the game prefers to slowdown very often than to give you a fine fighting experience. What a shame...

The sound, again is one of the most forgotten things in the game. The musics aren't that great to be remembered, and the special effects don't quit the medium scale. Sometimes, there are too many sounds on-screen, and it will turn into a loud noise instead of a game's sounds.

The gameplay is like the sound: medium. No innovations, the same basic scheme for fighting games, the same less-than-needed responsiveness, all the same... medium.

The game's single player campaign isn't interesting and not even worth checking out. As any other fighting game, the multiplayer is the greatest attractive.

In short, Bloody Roar 4 resumes everything of a casual fighting game, but doesn't innovate or offer anything interesting that will keep you playing more than some 100-120 hours of wild blood splattering. The game offers loads and loads of blood, nothing more...
