The omen has gone nuts

User Rating: 5.9 | Blood Omen 2 PS2
Might, tall, evil, gorgeous. Such is Kain. Main character of what is one of the best vampire series ever. But every series has it's bad seasons...
Blood Omen 2 takes place right after Blood Omen ends, in other words, just before Soul Reaver starts. But, something is strange with the storyline! Vorador, who had been slaughtered in the first game, beheaded just before Kain's eyes, is back! And very powerful by the way. Janos Audron didn't have his heart torn apart from his chest either. The Sarafan Order became a legion of undead soldiers commanded by the Hylden... By the way, you know that scar Kain carries on his chest? It was made by the Hylden Leader... Which is strange once you learn, in Defiance, that it's where his chest was ripped open to hide a certain heart...
Now, if you're here simply for the gameplay, for sure there'll be plenty of entertainment. Lots of gliches yes, but the action is great. Moves that will twist you upside-down. Very rich scenarios (that resemble the First Industrial Revolution). The graphics were pretty good for the time the game was released and the sound is just ok. By glitches you can understand those characters in the background, when you walk a bit far away, they turn into "pins" as if the game didn't realy end being made...
But as written above, the storyline blows it up; unless the fan face it like an "alternate reality" or something, the game really won't fit the rest of the Legacy of Kain series.
A reall shame indeed, was the storyline (and many glitches) to be corrected, this game would be damn near one of the series' finnest.
