Fun game but with some flaws

I must start this review by saying I did not "solve" the game. Not sure if that is even possible with a game like this. The game is so vast you will spend HOURS playing it. There are so maby things to do and to learn that thru playing it becomes more and more fun. The sound is nice but overall nothing special here. The graphics are nice but again nothing major. There is an hdr setting but on my 4k tv it just made the screen brighter. The game looks very good and the lands are vast so exploring is a must. Now lets come to some parts I did not like. To me this game at times is just hacking and slashing. I played as a warrior so after awhile it got kind of boring. The missions as well do not help with this. While there are the standard bring this to this person there are the wonderful kill 100 of this animal. Thats where the mashing of buttons begins. When you create your character you choose a class so as a warrior it was basically mashing away. I am sure with other classes it was different. In the beginning leveling up your character was easy but once you hit level 50 it slows down. Then comes the whole just grinding to try to get to the next level. Again becomes boring quickly. Traveling is here and there is no fast travel. You get a horse or a donkey or camel and you use them for travel. So if you want go to to far away places grabs your horse and some carrots (yes horses take stamina) and get ready to spend lots of time just riding your horse. You want to build up your character so doing most things tend to help build him up. If you fish you build up your fishing skill so doing various things help your character but there is a catch. You have them like action points (which restore every 3 mins you get a point while playing or 1 per hr while not playing). So as much as you want to build up your character you need to keep those points up which at times can be annoying. Now comes the main point of this game which is an issue. Hardly NOTHING is explained in this game. No tutorial nothing and while you get items they give you somewhat of a description but sometimes that is not enough. Most of the learning is thru trial and error and playing missions specific to what skill you want to learn. I am 50+ hrs in and there are still things that I have no idea what they do. I guess some could argue that is good but to me at times it was annoying. A simple tutorial would have helped a lot. That being said this game is vast and will give you hours and hours of gameplay and fun. If you can look past some things this game is well worth a purchase.
