Good football game from a unknown studio. Well worth looking into for any football game fan

User Rating: 8.5 | Black College Football Experience (Legendary Edition) PC
I was given a chance to try this game months ago at a football game and finally decided to buy the game. I have to say that this game has very nice graphics and overall a good respect for football.

Sound:
The sound of the game far exceeds the melodramatic of sounds in the NCAA franchise. Each HBCU school represented in the game has there best band music in there game. As you play, you will here the classic sounds of bands fighting with there music in the stadium. The music is spot on. Really gives you the atmosphere of being at a college game.

Gameplay:
The gameplay is ok. HBCU schools are not the best athletic teams in comparison to LSU juggernauts but since its all HBCU schools they all seem to be pretty even. Gameplay plays like the normal college football game with people only having numbers as names etc. There are a problem or too. For instance, the game uses the old school dive tackle formula. You just get kinda close then dive and most times you'll be rewarded with a tackle. One other feature that I think they could have went without is as someone on the team gets "hot" ; as to say alot of tackles or couple interceptions or alot of yards after catches, they go into a electric mode where glittery lights float around them. The effect last for one down and looks really nice since the game uses the unreal 3.0 engine but I think it could have went without. There is also no season play. To me thats what hurts it the most. You get the option to either play a normal game or a classic game where its one of the special HBCU football events such as the Bayou classic or the MEAC vs SWAC challenge etc.

Controls:
The game has a ok keyboard layout to play with and also a gamepad control scheme. The problem with the gamepad is that iits designed for the Xbox 360 controller. I myself use ps2 controllers with usb converters. Everything seemed to work fine with the controller until it came to running forward and backwards. For some strange reason it was reversed. The game does not allow you to change buttons in its options so i had to go inside the config ini file and change it myself. Its a small mistake on Neriyzed side but can be a big problem for people who do not know how. They could easily remedy the problem with a .ini file download or a patch but for now its a problem.

Overall:
The game features the CIAA, SIAC, SWAC, part of the MEAC, and a couple independent HBCU schools to make the overall amount for 40 colleges. With a outstanding ingame sound (off course turn off commentary's) and above average gameplay with the graphics of the unreal 3.0 engine this game can be a good deterrent to those who are tired of EA football games.

My score 8.5/10

P.S- There were rumors that this was some type of racist/ ethical game since its called Black Football the Xperience. If any of yall did not know, EA use to have most of these teams in there games and all off a sudden kicked them off the NCAA game franchise. Do not let the name of the game deter you from trying it out.
