A waste of time and money. There're tons of better titles to go after.

User Rating: 2.5 | Birth of America II: Wars in America 1750-1815 PC
Birth of America II: Wars in America 1750-1815 is a strategy game, turn based dealing with North America colonial wars and the USA Independence war.

Presentation: 1/10
There're no movies to introduce the game or adding flavour to played scenarios.

Innovation: 2/10
Birth of America II adds few to Birth of America released in 2006.
Same map, same ugly graphic, same scenarios, same interface. All quoted features have been improved but the result is worth of an add-on not a new, full price game.

Gameplay: 3/10
The game deals with logistic aspects overcharged with a complex micromanagement. No tactical and strategic elements are present. Battle resolution is inconsistent.

Interface: 4/10
The interface is clumsy, game data are spawned over too many menu pages and display boxes. You cannot filter useful informations. Most of reported data will not influence player chances.

Graphics: 3/10
Same graphic as Birth of America (one) that was outdated for that time. None the less scrolling the map is problematic on an old PC.

Sound: 3/10
Few military marches are played in background.
Terrible the sound during battle resolution.
No surround support provided.

Learning Curve: 3/10
No learning curve. Player have to know all game details to begin even short scenarios.
The paper manual coming with the boxed version is poor, and un-detailed. A printable pdf version is available.

Longevity: 1/10
Many short scenarios are unbalanced and not worth being played.
Longer campaigns are boring: game progress is slow. In winter turns player have nothing to do but skipping to next game turn. Scenarios are scripted ones and player has no chance to influence variability.

Value: 2/10
Game price is excessive.
The title will not enthusiasm player.
Bugs and CTDs waste scenarios.
AI opposition cannot stand human player.

Overall score: 2.5/10
A waste of time and money.
There're tons of better titles to go after.
