One of the best and more intelligent FPS i´ve ever played
There are several things that separate this FPS from the others. While most of this kind of games give you tons of guns for you to deal with the obstacles that you encounter, in Bioshock you are given something more. While guns are still very important for your success in the game, are the plasmids who really steal the show. They can be seen as superpowers who give you the ability to set an enemy on fire or to move objects without touching them. The existence of plasmids give to the game a strategic component, giving you a wide range of possibilities of how to kill your enemies.
The enemies of this game consist mainly of splicers, who consist of the inhabitants of Rapture, and the Big Daddies. Big Daddies are large creatures, very powerful and hard to kill. Only the best use of both weapons and plasmids can help you defeat the Big Daddies. And to survive in the game you will have to do it, since Big Daddies are the protectors of the Little Sisters, young girls who carry ADAM which you need to buy more plasmids.
It's in the way you face the little sisters that this game becomes really unique, giving you the power to kill or save this young girls. Killing them will give you large amounts of ADAM while saving them will probably give you a clean conscience. And it is in this choice that the the game shows you its brilliance: will you give up power to save their souls or will you do anything to save yourself...
