Sometimes, franchises start to wear at the seams by the third game. This isn't the case here. The claustrophobic suspense of the first two games is replaced with an agoraphobic adventure which relies less on shocks and scares and more twists and turns. From the imaginative environments to the fascinating characters, from the smooth gameplay to the gorgeous music, this game truly transported me to another place. I binge-played more than I have in a long time, and I'm considering playing it again just to catch pieces of the elaborate story I might have missed the first time around.
