An excellent addition to Bioshock 2 that almost feels like a whole new game in and of itself.

I'll keep this pretty brief. If you want to know my opinions about Bioshock 2, look up my review for it.

Minerva's Den is a short story that takes place during the fall of Rapture over the course of 3 levels. While it isn't expanded out to the extent of the two Bioshock games themselves, it actually ends up being roughly half as long as the 2nd, which makes the $10 price tag more than worth it. What makes this game stand out, however, is that it possess a great story that I think is actually superior to that of Bioshock 2's. I won't go into it too much other than that it is totally separate from the other two stories, and the only returning character is Dr. Tenenbaum. She plays a small role, but nonetheless you'll grow to care about the other characters here as well.

There are a couple new weapons that are actually very useful. One is a plasmid that pulls everything to it and then shoots everything out with great force. I really enjoyed using it. Also there is a new gun that shoots a laser beam, a charged laser, and an incendiary laser. This was also quite useful. Otherwise nothing should be too different from the regular Bioshock 2 experience here. This is just a great add-on, and anyone longing for another adventure in Rapture should purchase this, as it is well worth it.

Pros:
-New weapon, plasmids
-Great story, characters
-Decent price for what you get
-Easy trophies for trophy hunters
-Lasts about as long as other shooter campaigns out there

Cons:
-Wish it were longer
-Not sure about this, but it seems that how you deal with the Little Sisters doesn't seem to impact the game too much
-Design and scripted events are a little predictable after playing Bioshock 2

Would love to see more of these types of add-ons. Maybe one where you don't have to be a Big Daddy and handle weapons/plasmids like you do on multiplayer. Make more of these, 2K!
