The bottom of the barrel for PC games

I was going through some old stuff to sell in a yard sale, when I came across an old memory that brought up bad memories, Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing. In case you never heard of it, this is one of the buggiest, glitchiest, and most broken game you will ever play.

The whole idea of Big Rigs did sound interesting, you are an 18-wheeler going against another one in order to get illegal cargo from point A to point B, whoever doesn't reach the
finish line is caught by the police. That's all fine, IF THE GAME WASN'T LYING! It is nothing but lies, there is no police, no illegal cargo, and no racing at all. First off, the graphics look horrible, the trucks look like cardboard boxes, nothing is animated, the buildings and landscaps look untextured, like the game developers just put them together in a rush and said, OK that's good enough. Now for sound, oh wait, the only sound you hear is just a bit of techno music that loops again and again throughout all the levels of the game, there are no truck sound effects, not even a horn. The controls are extremely loose in this game, your truck can go so fast in so little time, and it can go from 0 to 60 MPH like that, and the turns can make you lose control of your truck. Besides, aren't these trucks carrying some 10,000 pounds worth of cargo, how can they go this fast? As for gameplay value, there is none, you can start the race by driving off quickly and your opponent will not move at all, ever, this isn't racing, it feels like a Sunday drive through some weird locations, there is no time limit, no checkpoints, and like I said, no racing at all. Finally, the bugs and there are a lot of them, I already mentioned the bad AI and going from 0 to 60 in reverse in a few seconds, but there is also the fact that you can go straight through anything, buildings, bridges, lampposts, and the opponent's truck, you can go very fast, over 9,000 MPH, and when you stop pressing the up arrow the truck stops on a dime instantly, you can go literally off the map and into the abyss and just drive around there, and the fact that when you win, you get a trophy with some engrish in it that says, YOU'RE WINNER! I will admit that made me laugh because of how bad it is. Then sometimes when you begin the race it automatically says you won. Finally, one of the levels in this game can crash the game causing you to stop playing the game, I guess it's self aware of its own crap.

When I finally got all the stuff out to my yard sale, I decided to hold on to Big Rigs and burned the game in the backyard, making sure no one will ever play this again. I can't stress this enough please do not ever, ever, ever play this game, it's so bad and unbelievably glitchy. If you run into a copy, just run away in terror as far as you can away from this game. Superman 64 may be the bottom of the barrel for video games, but Big Rigs has only one purpose, to serve the bottom of the barrel for PC games.
